This course provides an overview of the accounting requirements for environmental credits and environmental credit obligations under ASC 818. It explains how to determine whether an environmental credit qualifies for recognition as an asset, how environmental credit obligations are recognized and measured, and the accounting for both funded and unfunded obligations. The course also covers initial and subsequent measurement, impairment, derecognition, presentation, disclosure requirements, and practical examples that illustrate how the guidance is applied in real world situations.
